I am not claiming to be funny. I merely write about my life, and what happens in it. But, yes, humor can be found more often then not in life's everyday situations,no matter how irritating they may seem at the time. I don't usually see the humor until a few hours have past. But I am glad when I can look back over the day's hardships and laugh about them. I am grateful for humor, for without it life would be, well HUMORLESS. I am still waiting to think my morning of chaos was somehow funny....
Today started out with us being awakened by our doorbell ringing and dinging. The carpool was out front waiting for our teenage boy to emerge. He had slept through his alarm, sadly we rely on him to wake US UP!When he didn't emerge they sent a retriever. Not one person out of the 5 in my family was wearing anything that would be acceptable to open the door in(a common occurrence),so we all scrambled about trying to find any article of clothing that might suffice.Hayden won the race and told them to go on ahead without him,as he wasn't ready yet. This meant that I would be driving him to school. For many reasons this perturbed me, a couple being 1.I would be forced to put on something presentable and fast.(I much prefer my un-presentable clothing, as it is much more comfortable) 2.The already stressful "where is your other shoe" routine with my little kids would be even more so because now I would be stretched for time. I decided the task should be Kevin's.This concerned me though because he is the world's slowest man(at getting ready, not complaining, just stating facts, it may be even be recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records) and Hayden was already late. But it was worth it to me not to have to worry about it. So while Kevin showered. I bathed 2 kids, washed their hair, picked out their outfits, got them out, dried them off, dressed them, did one's hair, and was half way done blow drying the other one's before Kevin himself was finally ready.(again, world's slowest man at getting ready, but he always looks marvelous) So Hayden was fashionably late, if you can call an over-sized Jazz jersey, overgrown hair, and un-brushed teeth fashionable. At least the little kids were on time with minimal yelling, not to mention I ended up staying in my un-presentable comfortable clothes. Even as I type I am wearing them, so please do not come to my front door right now and ring a ding my doorbell, I am in no mood to scramble.
